Sign up for a Beacon account on app.beacon.li, providing your email address, and enter the OTP sent to the email ID you've registered. You can use the same PIN to login every time, and remember to update it later in the dashboard if needed.
Provide your name, company name, and website URL, then click "Enter" to be directed to the dashboard.
Navigate to the installation section in settings, or use our Beacon bar by pressing "Command + K" or "CTRL + K," type in "installation," and press enter to go to the relevant page.
Utilize the provided scripts and insert the Beacon code into the <head> section of each page where you want the Beacon bar to appear.
Choose between configuring in the sandbox environment or the live environment by toggling the switch.
Toggle the switch to set up either in the sandbox environment or the live environment, and utilize the sandbox organization ID for the sandbox and the live organization ID for the live environment.

For instances where no search results are found, you can choose to add a feedback option, display specific commands, or enable a request command prompt. Customize the bar's visibility in dark or light mode, hide it on certain URLs, and change the default icons assigned to different command types.
Within the bar shortcuts, you can configure which button click invokes the Beacon bar in your dashboard. You also have the flexibility to set different preferences for Mac and Windows.
In the feedback section, personalize the labels and placeholders for feedback. Additionally, you can opt to invoke a command by selecting the command radio button instead of a text placeholder.
Within the default view, use the dropdown at the top to choose the type of command. You can rearrange commands or documents by dragging the icon located on the right for each command. Once done, click on "Save Order" to save the changes.
To establish a connection with Zendesk or Slack, navigate to the Integration section and connect by providing the domain, email, and API key for Zendesk, or the webhook URL and channel name for Slack. Once connected, you can create a command, such as raising a support ticket, by selecting the action type as support.
To update the organization name, URL, email address, or change the password, access the profile section in the settings.
Navigate to the "Team" section in the left-side menu within the settings to add and oversee team members.
